Flying On Trust for Derby And Preakness Cost 5,000 PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 9.— For the many interested fans and horsemen in the flying foray of On Trust from California to both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, the cost of the round trip approximated 5,000. Thiss included transport by a four-motored plane for On Trust and a pony from the Long Beach, Calif, airport to Louisville, then last Tuesday from Louisville to Baltimore Municipal Airport, plus the transportation from here back to California next Tuesday. Included in this cost was transportation for owner Earl O. Stice, a son, trainer Willie Molter, his daughter, exercise boy Clyde Turk, agent Basil Smith and a groom. Owner Stice says that the trip to Louisville and then on to Pimlico was so smooth and short tha* he felt On Trust could have raced two hours after stepping off the plane, if need be. Owner Stice, of course, paid an additional ,000 to make On Trust a supplementary entry for the Preakness.
