HERE GOES, away fast, raced SERENE ONE into defeat after a half mile, established a clear lead in the stretch and, responding to brisk handling, held PADUCAH safe. The latter, in close quarters and forced to take up approaching the stretch, came to the inside for the drive and, bearing in under punishment, was unable to reach the winner. CAPSICUM moved up boldly in the stretch, then faltered rearing the finish. GOOD DECISION had no mishap. PROM DATE weakened* after racing prominently to the stretch. PLAY WISE raced evenly and had no excuse. INTRIGUING began poorly and pulled up sore. LETITIA could not keep up and lasted to finish on equal terms with KITTY GRAY. The latter had speed to the stretch. SERENE ONE made the pace while engaging HERE GOES to the stretch, then gave way. TORELLO bore out badly after three-sixteenths and lost all chance. DAME DAMION was outrun. FAIR ARAB could not keep up after showing early speed. CHICLE RED, never far back and saving ground to the stretch, assumed command when settled for the drive, then lasted to hold SWEET ALICE. The latter, outrun to the final quarter, came out for the drive and finished fast under punishment. PAM, slow to begin and far back to the stretch, closed strongly in a sharp effort. THERESE CANALE moved up boldly on the final turn, then faltered in the drive. BE LIKE POLLY made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. SACRED VOW had early speed. DARK LACE could not keep up. RADIO GUNNER went to the front early, gave way momentarily to NITE CRIES during the stretch run, but came again during the last sixteenth and disposed of the latter. NITE CRIES engaged RADIO GUNNER after the start, reached the lead in the stretch, but was unable to retain his advantage under strong handling and just missed. GRAFAIRCHAN, in close quarters early, came to the middle of the track for the drive and finished resolutely under punishment. MR. PHARNED raced evenly and had no mishap. OR-TETRA began slowly, but finished fast. QUEEN FLASH had no excuse. ERMELIA was outrun. THE CURTAIN tired. CHANCE DANCE was never prominent. ALLISONIA failed to stay after showing early speed. RIPPLING SAND, never far back, responded to strong handling in the stretch and, disposing of the leaders, lasted to hold DONNA SUE. The latter raced evenly to the final quarter, came out for the drive, responded to brisk urging, finished very fast, was getting to the winner and just missed. CIVIL GIRL, a keen factor from the start, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, but faltered nearing the finish. HOSTESS, slow to begin and far back to the last furlong, closed determinedly under punishment. JAY could not better position when set down for the drive and lacked racing room during the late stages. KINDLY MISS failed to stay after showing early speed. ELBEKAY made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. TEENIE QUEENIE raced wide. JOSEPH JR. was done early. TIDY SUM assumed command early, shook off MISS TARTAN entering the stretch, then gamely withstood a long drive to hold HASHCAMP. The latter, never far back, came out for the stretch run, finished strongly, was getting to the winner and just missed. JIMPIN held on well in a good effort and had no mishap. PLAIDLOCH began fast, but could not keep up after the start, responded to punishment in. the drive and closed resolutely. MISS TARTAN engaged TIDY SUM to the stretch, then weakened. PAPALOI was outrun. PUTITTHERE never was dangerous. BURGOOLETTE tired after racing well to the stretch. HARVARD SQUARE was done early. BRIGHT STEEL, fractious during the post parade and at the post, never was a serious factor. DEVILSAND, saved to the stretch, went to the inside for the drive, took command and outlasted LITTLE MONARCH. The latter came willingly when set down for the drive, but was not good enough. FORT SCHUYLER disposed of FREE DUCHESS after half a mile, took a good lead, but faltered thereafter. ADENOS lacked early speed, but finished fast. DAUBERUP, far back early, closed well. PURITAN began alertly, raced well to the stretch, then tired, but finished on even terms with SUEDE. The latter was moving up stoutly after the start when he stumbled and, dropping back, failed to menace thereafter. ASK ME propped at the start. FREE DUCHESS showed early speed.
