El Monos Ownership Changes; Nominated for Gansett Stake PAWTUCKET, R. I., June 3.— El Mono has been nominated for the 0,000 Governors Handicap at Narragansett, July 9. He was on The Jockey Clubs barred list for the past year, but a change in the ownership restored him to good standing and he is expected to arrive here next week. A few days ago, Daniel Lamont sold El Mono to the K and S Stable, of Roaring Spring, Pa. The sale was approved and the horse restored to good standing. His new trainer, N. S. "Sam" Scava, says he will shortly be ready to go to the races. He may start in an allowance race or two prior to the Governors Handicap on closing day of the meeting.
