Thorncliffe Meet Opens Today With 14 in Bryan and OHara THORNCLIFFE PARK, Leaside, Ont., June 3. — The local racing scene shifts to nearby Leaside tomorrow where the Thorncliffe Park Racing and Breeding Association inaugurates a meeting of 14 days. With close to 1,500 thoroughbreds housed at various local tracks, many of whom will be making their local debut at Thorncliffe, some of the best sport of the still young racing season should be witnessed during the forthcoming period. The ,000 Bryan and OHara Handicap, richest purse of the meeting, will be renewed on opening day, and 16 talented performers have been named overnight. C. Krupps Free As A»T winner of the King Edward Gold Cup and Queens Cup at the O. J. C. will tote the top package of 118 pounds. The son of Khorasan and Liberty Queen, who was never better than at the moment, will perform coupled in the wagering with Frank Kilroys Fort Garry, and it is expected this pair will command most support from the wagering public.
