QUESTUARY assumed command at once, was under light restraint while setting the pace, saved ground and maintained margin under pressure through the stretch. MOUNTAIN TIME worked her way up on the outside and came to r the inside in the stretch, but was not good enough. CAMBRIDGE FAIR was rushed boldly after a quarter mile, then failed to gain on the leaders. ROSE HAIRAN improved her position gradually. SOME SWEEP flattened out after reaching contention. PRINCESS LAURA had no mishap. GOOD FUN was in close quarters most of the way. NEAT KEE was through after a half mile. HEYORTA was never prominent. Won driving; second and third the same. VITAL SUN assumed command at once, was steadied while enjoying a clear advantage along the inside, rallied when challenged and held on gamely to the end. NORWEST drew in closest attendance of the pace after a quarter mile, was roused leaving the backstretch and made repeated bids at the leader, then tired. ST. GLORY closed well from off the pace. • I FORGOT worked his way up on the inside, made a mild challenge entering the stretch, then flattened out. ESS JAY ESS had no mishap. BEST PUNCH broke alertly, widened on his field, saved ground and had enough left to hold PETER A. safe. The latter dropped back after breaking alertly, was kept to the inside until rounding the final turn, then moved to the middle of the track and closed 1 with good energy. BOSS BROKER, well up and in close quarters, lacked a rally when clear in the late stages. ROFFIE moved in closest attendance of the leader straightening for the drive, then tired. VALSIDA showed good speed for three furlongs, then drifted wide while tiring. IRONCLAD raced evenly. BASTILLE reared in ! the gate before the start, unseated rider, then showed speed for three furlongs. LILLIAN W. raced very greenly. KEIWELL assumed command at once, drew clear, was placed under steadying restraint, withstood repeated challenges from PAPER MILL and MARCH CHICK, increased the lead when roused and held JACOPET safe. The latter, never far off the pace, moved on the outside leaving the backstretch, drew into closest attendance of the leaders leveling off for the drive, but • failed to rally. AETHELRED was not hustled while kept within striking distance of the leaders, came between ♦horses for the drive, but failed to menace the leaders. CURVACEOUS had no mishap. PAPER MILL flattened out after forcing the pace. GLORYS CHANCE was through after a half. MARCH CHICK flattened out after a mild challenge. L Overweight— Curvaceous, 4 pounds. CURTAIN TIME rallied when roused, came to the inside, but was not good enough. SECOND SON set a fast pace, disposed of TIME ROLL, then tired. TIME ROLL was used " up forcing the pace. LADY CARRIE was unable to keep up. U. S. BOUND dropped back soon after the start c and showed nothing thereafter. FLOAT ME was not persevered with when soundly beaten. DAILY DIP improved position gradually on the outside, responded to strong pressure in the final furlong and caught GUNNISON in the final stride. The latter raced close to the pace on the inside, assumed command entering the stretch, drew out slightly, but was unable to hold the winner. GAY SPARK moved threateningly on the final turn, then flattened out under pressure. REBORN lacked a late rally. DIRECTOIRE raced GERHAM into submission, gained a slight advantage on the turn, then tired under urging. CHUCKALOT had no mishap. KANDYCAL was never a serious factor. GERHAM quit. THE DRONE, steadied while improving position gradually along the inside, moved to the leaders with a rush, assumed command rounding the final turn, then drew clear with ease. BOLO TIE outran the field to take command before the first turn, saved ground, turned back repeated bids on the far turn, but was unable to cope with the winners challenge. EVERPLAYFUL closed stoutly in the final half. GLORY BE, steadied when unable to outrun the early leader, went well to the final turn, then lost ground. UNKNOWN REWARD flattened out after reaching the pace. F. B. EYE was never prominent. GOOD SWEEP was forced to go wide when unable to get to the rail on the first turn and never recovered.
