JUMPY JOHN went to the front at once, gave way momentarily to MISS BOB during the stretch run, then came again under strong handling and disposed of the latter in the last strides. MISS BOB, forwardly placed throughout, reached the lead during the drive, but, weakly handled, was unable to hold the winner. JACARANDA, never far back, was sent to the inside for the stretch run and closed resolutely." DIS HASH was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. SQUINT, under poor handling, never seriously threatened. LAPEL was outrun. SEA-0-DEE had brief speed. MIVAL, fractious at the post, raced qreenly. BLUE GOLD raced evenly to the stretch without need of urging. BUCKO moved up boldly on the stretch turn, but could not get to the winner when set down in the drive. DOC STEARN faltered after racing prominently to the stretch. CHALLEPORT lacked early speed, but finished well. GIFT SCARF began fast and raced forwardly placed until inside the stretch, then tired. CHERRY FLASH, a keen factor to the stretch, had nothing left for the drive. OCAVVY could not keep up. MALVERN, on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. JOY ROAD showed, nothing. FANASH, on the outside while racing forwardly placed to the upper turn, reached the lead approaching the stretch and retained the advantage when ridden out. DOVER ROAD, a keen factor from the beginning, held on determinedly, but could not get to the winner. WATERCLOCK raced evenly and had no mishap. EVA T. began fast, but dropped back after the start and raced well thereafter. SUGAR LUMP bore in badly during the stretch run. LONGTIDE, forced to the inside by SUGAR LUMP, bothered BEE ROSE and could not threaten when straightened up. TRY AGAIN was off poorly. BEE ROSE, on the inside from the beginning, was beaten when bothered by LONGTIDE during the stretch run. BLENROUGE was eliminated at the break. COMPARE began fast, made the pace to the stretch, but drifted out on the final turn and could not withstand the winner. STEADY BEAU was unable to threaten the leaders when hard urged through the stretch. MONOLITH faltered after showing early speed. RAY COUNT MISS was never dangerous. CROSS WISE could not keep up. WHATANURSE went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, swerved to the inside under weak handling and could not withstand the winner, although probably best. GREAT DOCTOR, never far back, suffered interference after leaving the backstretch, came again when clear, then faltered during the final furlong. ANALII was outrun. VERAGEL never was dangerous. TIMMY, far back to the final quarter, closed with a rush, but could not reach the winner. WOW, much used racing APPLEJACK JAKE into defeat, had nothing left for the drive. BIG AFFAIR had early speed, but failed to stay. MANEEN was never dangerous. JUST-MADE-IT failed to respond when hard ridden through the stretch. OMINOUS could not keep up. APPLEJACK JAKE, slow to begin, was hustled to the front before going a quarter, raced well for five-eighths, then gave way. Scratched— 75614 Mio Lips, 115.
