Royal Man Is Favored In Free For All Pace Meets Up With Guest Star and Barefoot G. at Aurora Downs AURORA DOWNS, Aurora, 111., June 3.— Royal Man, winner of both divisions of the ,000 Baker Hotel Pace at Aurora Downs on Memorial Day, faces the fastest pacer he has met this year in a ,000 Free-for-All at the Fox Valley track tomorrow night. The newcomer to Auroras top circle of pacers is Guest Star, a stake performer who makes appearances in nearly all of the na- * tions richest pacing events. The Free-for-All will serve as a warm-up for him for the ,000 Aurora Downs Pacing Derby scheduled for June 17. Whether Guest Star is ready now to take Royal Man remains to be seen. If he isnt, there are six other pacers who will try. They are Barefoot G., who already holds a victory over Royal Man this season; Bru-citas Guy, a gelding who has battled Royal Man in some historic races over the last two years; Easter Grattan, Victory Dale, Rippling Star and True Neil. A second field of fast pacers goes in the ninth race, a mile event. On the basis of his performance on Tuesday night, when he set a blazing pace and was caught just at the wire by the phenomenal Wililam Jester, the horse to beat tomorrow is High-lawn Direct. His chief opposition should come from Captain Eblis, Barber B. and Mrs. Forrest Burrights Puzzette, although the ever-dangerous Prince Yakima has shown signs of rounding into form in recent starts.
