Ten Hollywood Park Stakes Close for Entries Tomorrow HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif-May 3. — Racing secretary John R. Maluvius today issued a final reminder to horsemen of the closing Saturday of nominations at midnight for 10 of the 15 stakes programmed for Hollywood Parks 50-day meeting which opens on Friday, May 11. Included in this May 5 closing are nominations for the 00,000-net-guaranted-to-the-winner Hollywood Gold Cup, the traditional mile and a quarter classic which will have its renewal on July 14. The Hollywood Premiere and Will Rogers Handicaps, the stakes programmed for the first two days of the meeting. May 11 and May 12. will be closed Saturday. The Hollywood Premiere is for three-year-olds and upward at six furlongs and the Will Rogers at the same distance, is the first three-year-old stake of the meeting. Other stakes closing May 5 are the Golden State Breeders Handicap on May 19; the Hollywood Lassie Stakes, May 26; the Hollywood Oaks, June 16; the Westerner, June 30. and the Starlet Stakes, to be run on Friday, July 20.
