J., May 3. — Margaret Byer, wife of Nate Byer, well-known trainer, succumbed to a long illness at the Byer residence in Freehold, N. J., last night. Mrs. Byer was a familiar figure around New Jersey racing circles for many years. The funeral will be held on Friday morning at 10 oclock at the Free- man Funeral Home on Main Street in Freehold.
