Wegeners Reynolds Jr. accounted for the longest race of the first 10 days of this Massachusetts season when he scored by a length and a half over the mile and a quarter route. The early pacemaker, W. Notos Fair Strike, held on gamely through the late stages to save the place award by three lengths over the tepid fa-0 vorite, Flying Mile, from the stable of George Bab in. Overshadowing the triumph of the Weg-q ener gelding was the feat of his rider, apprentice Ralph Borgemenke, who was completing a consecutive triple astride Reynolds Jr. Borgemenke extended his win-J ning streak to four straight when he circled the field in the seventh race to steer L C Stables Applause to a three and a half length victory. The youngster has all the earmarks of becoming the second famous rider from Newport, Ky. Of course Eddie Arcaro holds the honor from the town across the river from Cincinnati. Borgemenke won the fourth race of the the afternoon on Paramount Stables Salvaged. His next winner turned up in G. Colellas Speedy Baby, the favorite of the fifth event. Seldom a day passes at Suffolk Downs that the youngster does not get down front with at least one winner and right now he is heralded as the most promising apprentice to appear here since Harold "Red" Keene.
