GOOD-SHOPPER, slow to reach her best stride, slipped through next the inside rail entering the stretch and, after taking command won drawing away. PUNKS raced in nearest pursuit of the early leader, but failed to respond when shaken for the drive. MINNESINGER closed resolutely in a sharp effort. VENTURESS was guided between horses during the late stages, but was not good enough. ALPHAS CHOICE had no mishap. TOP CHOICE was forced to take up when in close quarters during the drive. OUTSKIRTS, always within striking distance, came out for the drive and under adept handling was up in the concluding strides to outfinish SIGNAL CODE. The latter swerved over sharply midway the final furlong interfering with AUNT JAYNE Z., continued on gamely when straightened, but under pressure could not withstand the winner. AUNT JAYNE Z. was impeded by SIGNAL CODE while tiring during the late stages and failed to recover. COLD SPY had no apparent mishap. FANCY FOOD failed to stay. M00LA retired steadily after showing early speed. DARK FILANTE trailed throughout in a dull effort. Overweight— Cold Spy, 1 pound. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. The latter, slow to reach best stride, came between horses entering the stretch and closed resolutely. JOHNS JOY held sway till midway of the final furlong, gave way to the winner, then held on tenaciously. MR. TROUBLE failed to make up appreciable ground when hard ridden in the stretch.
