200 Head at River Downs I RIVER DOWNS, California, Ohio, May 22. — Close to 200 thoroughbreds are bedded down in their stalls at the River Downs track awaiting the opening of the 44-day meeting Memorial Day and racing secretary Gene Bury today stated that every available stall on the grounds will be filled before the curtain-raiser. Many horses will come from Sportsmans Park, which closed today, while a still greater number will invade the picturesque Ohio River track this week-end with the termination of the Churchill Downs session. Others will come from Maryland, Rhode Island and Hot Springs.
