KALLUKI immediately established a commanding lead, was hard ridden through the final stages and lasted to hold the opposition clear. PADDOCK GOLD was allowed to drop back slightly after a good beginning, then closed gamely when roused in the last stages and was up to best STAR SPOT. The latter rushed into prominence between .horses in the early stretch, then hung. LITTLE HOPE, in close quarters esrly, made up ground steadily in a good effort. ICY ETHEL lacked early speed ancTwas forced very wide in a late rally. FAIR EDNA faltered suddenly when punished. ANTE FEE quit. KIST could net keep up and was net a factor. SHE WOLF was outrun. GERTIES LAST, under intermittent punishment while forcing the pace, was steadily urged through the last stages and disposed of the tiring" DANA DEL to win clear. DANA DEL was under pressure while setting the pace, was lightly taken in hand in- the early stretch, but faltered when punished to meet the challenge of the winner. TINK was between horses while a forward factor and lacked a closing rally. FERIAL had a rough trip while gradually improving position and finished well. PO GAL stumbled badly leaving the gate end was unable to seriously contend early, then closed well at the end. BEST TRICK-was hard urged while showing early speed and quit. GAS began sluggishly and trailed fcr a half mile, then closed fast between-horses at the end. WHITE BONES lost ground on the outside of horses and tired. LUCKS HERE was outrun. . FRED R. quickly opened a clear lead from the inside, responded gamely to punishment when displaced by MISS NOSOCA in the early stretch and regained a slight advantage, then held on doggedly for the decision. MISS NOSOCA began well and raced closest - to the pace, swiftly moved to the front rounding into the stretch, but swerved to the inside when punished and lost command while being straightened, then came again and just missed. KNIGHTS REWARD was under light _ pressure while saving ground, then finished well to best VILLAGER. The latter was a forward factor under alert handling and weakened. BOLO LASS was not a factor. DELONG began fast, but was lightly steadied when -challenged by DIVIDEND PAYER and permitted that .one to take the lead on the final turn, readily responded "to regain command for the stretch run and lasted under urging to hold SEA GRASS clear. The latter dropped back between horses after the start, was again sent into contention on the far turn and made up ground steadily thereafter in a good effort. DIVIDEND PAYER was urged to the front on the turns, but faltered badly in the final run. BLUE JACK was unable to keep up while losing ground on the extreme outside, then finished evenly. FUN FOR ALL saved ground and passed tiring horses. ARAS BOY tired and drifted wide in the drive. BOBBY 0. raced wide. OFF AT 4:03 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. EVAS TOY was in hand while rushing into blind guarters behind the first flight on the first turn, came out slightly and between horses when urged for the drive and guickly drew clear. TEDDY TARN was under constant and strong handling while racing prominently placed but between horses, could not stay with the winner in the final run, but gamely bested VILLAGE BOY. The latter was a keen factor throughout, gained the lead in the drive,, but weakened. GALLANT JAKE was taken in hand at the start, made a bold move on the final turn, then was carried slightly wide and weakened. TOWNHOUSE swung extremely wide for the stretch run and could not get up. WELL MY WORD raced on the outside throughout. SANTAS VIXEN quit. TEMPTING gradually entered closer contention while saving ground, was steadied behind horses on the stretch turn, then drove through a narrow opening next to the rail to reach the front in the drive and lasted. FIGHTING BUDDY was hustled along with the pace from the outside, lost some ground entering the stretch, then was getting to the winner at the end. KING BUD saved ground while a sharp contender, reached the front in the drive and weakened. AMERICAN NED was taken up when rushing up behind the leaders on the final turn, then failed .to recover. TOY FOX was outrun. MAEKEL set the pace under pressure into the stretch and quit when headed. INAJIFFY quit. Scratched— 279463 Pucketeer, 111. CER VANTES, under light pressure while well placed, was strongly roused before responding on the turns, then rapidly wore down the leaders from the outside and drew out handily. PENNON was rated close to the pace, then drifted wide and weakened when punished to meet the challenge of the winner. VAR saved "all possible ground setting the pace, held swav into the final three-sixteenths and faltered. WOHNEDA made up distance without menacing. PRINCE CONSORT was outrun. UP GRADE showed nothinq. ALACRITY was shuffled back at the start, then gradually moved into contention while between horses, willingly responded when punished to take command in the drive and lasted to best NAPANGO. The latter, unhurried while outrun and far back, swung out and around horses in the stretch run, closed with a rush and just missed. GOOD LOOK was slightly crowded coming through next to the rail in the stretch run, then finished well. BLACK PEPPER loomed boldly between horses in the early stretch,, but hung. CASEIN was rated within striking distance, then failed to respond when urged. EVEN LATER was rated evenly while setting the pace, then faltered badly in the drive. HARD TRY ROSTRUM -and*.
