Henry Heavy Choice to Beat Unknown Davidson in Detroit DETROIT, Mich., May 22 UP— Hard-bitting Clarence Henry, sixth-ranking heavyweight from Los Angeles, will have everything to lose and nothing .to gain when he tangles with virtually unknown Embrel Davidson tomorrow at Olympia stadium. Davidson, hailed by former champion Joe Louis as the most promising fighter hes, seen in years, is an ambitious youngster with , little reputation but plenty of punch. The televised 10-round bout will mark dusky Davidsons first headline engagement in a show sponsored by the International Boxing Club. He built his strong of 20 straight victories, 15 by knockouts in small club fights. Many ring dopesters figure that Davidson, despite the ravings of Louis, is biting off more than he can chew in the kayo punching Henry. However, his backers contend that they accepted the fight because a victory would boom Davidson into the contenders picture while a defeat would only indicate that he isnt quite ready for the -top-notchers. I Henry boasts a kayo- victory over highly rated light heavyweight Irish Bob Murphy. Davidson hasnt beaten anyone even close by comparison.
