Jeannie C. Impresses In Triumph at Pimlico Clark Juvenile to Have Large Following in Breeders Stakes PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 22. — The sparkling victory turned in .yesterday at Pimlico by Alan T. Clarkes two-year-old filly, Jeannie C, has caused a great deal of discussion about Saturdays final stake of the meeting, the Havre de Grace Breeders Stakes for Maryland-foaled juveniles over the four and one-half furlongs distance. Many who saw the daughter of Alaking and Bola Mowlee speed to a 12-length triumph in :53%, immediately wrote her down as the winner of Saturdays ,000 fixture. Jeannie C. is a full sister to Senator Joe, who has been very successful in Clarks colors this spring. A check through the records of the two-year-old races run so far this year in Maryland, however, reveals that-six other home-breds who are eligible for the Breeders. Stakes have been winners, while at least that many more have been close enough in recent engagements to warrant racing them Saturday. Mrs. H. H. Hechts Blue Rhymer, D. G. Smiths For Rent and J o u e 1 1 Shouses Cinda, all have been two-time winners this spring while single victories are held by Mrs. R. H. Heighes Inca, N. J. Agnellos Pinocchio and H. B. MacCrowes Suze Sin. Six different sires are represented by this sextet of contenders. Blue Rhymer is by The Rhymer out of Blue Brandy; For Rent by Occupy — Renes Polly; Inca by Swing and Sway — In India; Pinocchio by Con-fiado — Swishswash; Suze Sin by Abbe Pierre — Wimauma, and Cinda by Occupy — Arden Lass. Any race bringing together half a dozen winners should provide a fine attraction for the closing program, not only of the Pimlico meeting but the Maryland spring season.
