SHIVERS moved to the leader on the turn, lugged in when straightened for the stretch run, then lasted over SHAMROCK HILL. The latter just missed while rallying along the inside. SATYRUS made up ground steadily. EAST OF SUEZ wrested command after a half mile, appeared to have been bothered slightly by the winner and weakened. EPONBUSH Jacked room-briefly along the inside entering the stretch. ADVICE could not keep pace. CANARIS held a clear lead after a quarter and quit badly through the stretch. The stewards called for an inquiry, but took no action. FULL FLIGHT improved his position gradually to attain a clear lead nearing the stretch and was clearly best of the others. WAR OF ROSES, rated within striking distance of the leaders, was unsuccessful in attempting to move with CHEVATION, then weakened in the drive. BUTTEVANT trailed after five furlongs arid wore down tired horses. PALM TREE failed to threaten. CATSPAW was a factor briefly and weakened. MENEMSHA raced well for six furlongs and faltered. BUCK N GEE weakened slightly in the drive. RAM 0 WAR attained a slight lead nearing the stretch and gave way. KHAN was through early. The latter worked his way into contention gradually and was getting to the winner at the end. BOLD WARRIOR moved with a rush on the stretch turn and hung at the end. ROUGH COOKIE made a bold bid in the stretch and weakened to finish on even terms with BOLD WARRIOR for third. JOANNS BOOTS was forwardly placed and tired. CHUSCO was outrun.
