HASTY SUN went to the. front before going a quarter -mile, settled in the stretch witha clear lead, then drew out to win with speed in reserve. ULA raced nearest HASTY SUN to the stretch, was unable to stay with the latter but easily bested the others. SPECIFIC gave a fair effort and had no mishap. MUSIC had early speed, tired badly while racing in the deepest going and failed to stay when set down for the drive. CAPRICORNIO raced wide. COCK CROW could not keep up. JET LIZZIE disliked the muddy track and was never prominent. CONQUERANT was never dangerous and had no mishap. BUTCH WOOD went to the front early, gave way to SHAMROCK LAD -during the stretch run, then came again when hard urged and disposed of the latter in the last sixteenth. SHAMROCK LAD, a sharp factor from the start, saved ground entering the stretch and reached the lead, but could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. TEA BISCUIT was unable to threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. WATSEKA could not keep up after , showing early foot. MAIDS LIGHT was outrun. IF YOU VOTE reared at the start and lost all chance. BILLDIVI began fast, but bore out badly after the break and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. Overweight Billdivi, 2 pounds. ONE GAMBLE, well placed from the start, remained on the outside of FIGHTING MOORE for the stretch run and, responding to strong handling, wore down the ; latter in the last seventy yards. FIGHTING MOORE, partial to the muddy track, took command early; set the pace until inside the stretch but was unable to withstand ONE GAMBLE, although much, the best of the others. BLAZER HORNET, next to the inner rail and in the deepest going from the outset, stumbled at the stretch turn and was unable to threaten the top pair after the mishap. OSCAR J. was outrun and had no mishap. BOLD SPOT was through early. NIGHT CABLE lacked early speed and was never dangerous. GIN-MAR raced wide.
