MIRTHFUL set the early pace and was headed by LADOLEE nearing the stretch turn, but continued steadily on the inside and again got to the front in the last sixteenth to win going away. LADOLEE movedgradually to take command, but tired and bore out. in the ; last sixteenth. EMERALD was slow to get in stride, and was badly outrun early, but finished fairly well next to the rail. REPARTEE found a couple of openings next to the rail on the backstretch to get to the front nearing the far turn, then drew out approaching the stretch turn and, despite bearing out in the last eighth, held sway to the finish to win under mild urging. QUEEN APACHE saved ground in the stretch to finish well. PRINCE ADARIS had fair speed to the stretch, then weakened. COLORADO FOX was never a serious contender. OAK RIVER tired badly.
