MARK ONIGHT, much the best, outbroke her rider, gradually worked way forward to the stretch, then was forced wide by GRANDAD, recovered and continued gamely on her own courage to withstand WAIT UP. The latter, never far back, finished well under brisk handling, but could not reach the winner. GRANDAD, in hand to the stretch, bore out badly at the final turn, then closed determinedly when straightened up for the drive. SIDS BIRTHDAY had early speed, but failed to stay.- BIG DANCE engaged SIDS BIRTHDAY for a half mile, then-gave way. PRIZE MONEY was never prominent. FIGHTING ANNIE showed nothing. WAR SECRETARY raced evenly in a good effort, but was unable to threaten CUTE WAY. CARACAS KID lacked - early foot. MISS BOXER disliked the heavy track. TANGLED JOE began fast, set the pace for a half mile, then gave way when challenged by CUTE WAY. DONNA HOOP was through early. The latter took command early, entered the stretch with a clear advantage and continued determinedly but was unable to hold the winner. JUST A FOOT, well placed from the outset, was permitted to swerve during the drive and could not overtake the leaders. DARK NED was far back throughout. SAUREE was through early. WRANGLER gradually worked way forward to the stretch, but faltered when set down in the drive. THE GLOBE lacked early speed. BILLCELLA was through after going a half mile.
