FIGHTING LOW, slow to begin, closed ground along the inside. PLUTUS went evenly. FINCHHAVEN broke alertly, was unable to keep up and was forced to lose ground. BILLS SUN was unable to keep up. CALAJvlUS was in close quarters early. GILA RIVER showed speed for a half mile and retired. GAY GAGEL was outrun. TIME HONORED quit. PLASTERED, a forward factor and roused intermittently to remain within striking distance, came outside, but was unable to reach the leader under pressure. ZIPPER closed with a belated rush from off the pace. QUEEN IRISH was rushed along the inside to .engage the leader before a quarter mile, was unable to keep up and weakened steadily. STEERSMAN raced evenly. MARK U. had no mishap. KERRYTZA showed nothing. GATICA-LINDA was rushed from a sluggish start andweakened in the drive. FANCY TALK was never prominent. BERMUDA LILY moved in close attendance of the pace after a quarter mile, responded to stout urging through the stretch and was along lo outfinish SIX BILLS. The latter moved alertly to force the pace, came inside to assume the lead, drew out in the stretch and just missed. BULL BING was under stout pressure while moving on the final turn and was catching the leaders. ALMUSTAFA came inside entering the stretch but was unable to menace. REIGHS LASS went evenly in the late stages., KING JOE was sluggish in the early stages, was forced to lose ground and lacked a late rally. FRANKIE. BOGGS showed nothing. GREEK SDN was outrun. DANDY JOHN showed nothing. PHANTOM EYE pulled clear at the start, set the pace for three furlongs and weakened. LEES WAY was unable to keep up. Ml SCANDAL unseated the rider at the gate, ran off a quarter mile, and showed nothing in running of the race. LORD JEFFERY. worked his way up along the inside, came outside in the stretch and closed stoutly. MY BANKER showed good speed to take an early lead, remained in contention to the final furlong and weakened. JIFFY dropped off the pace early, was sent wide leaving the backstretch and passed tiring horses in the late stages. ADAMANT weakened in the late stages. OFF WE GO showed nothing. The latter, never far off the pace, rallied mildly but was not good enough. CONDAMION came between horses on the far turn, moved outside in the drive and finished with good energy. ARTHUR S., under stout restraint for a half mile, moved into command with ease, drew out, swerved badly nearing the sixteenth pole and pulled himself up. KING FOR ALL showed tfothing. CHIC QUEEN slipped through along the inside to take command before a quarter mile, moved clear, drifted out on the final turn, responded to stout pressure and withstood a sustained drive. GYPSUM, outrun to the final quarter mile, came up along the inside with a belated rush and just missed. APPOINTMENT, never far off the pace, rallied to engage the leader entering the stretch but was not good enough. BIG HEAP rallied mildly after six furlongs and faltered. PAVOLD showed speed for a . half mile, then went evenly. ACE CAPTAIN, close up from the-start, was forced to close ground and lacked a late rally.
