Nominate Twenty-Three For Rose Leaves Stakes Sickles Image, Brazen Brat on Roster for Detroit June 19 Race DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 8. Racing secretary Charles J. McLennan today released a list of 23 nominations for the 0,000 Rose Leaves Stakes, which will have its nineteenth renewal Saturday, June 19. The Rose Leaves, a six-furlong sprint for fillies and mares, three-year-old and upward, is always one of the highlight events of Michigan racing and this years edition promises to be one of the best in the fixtures history. Clarence Hartwicks Sickles Image, Mrs. Samuel M. Pistorios Brazen Brat and Singing Beauty, Ivan D. Peats Sun Tan Gal, G. Y. Bookers Mad Hare, Tamarack Stables Sharbot, and Mrs. Otto C. Neumanns Beanir are some of the better known Rose Leaves eligibles.
