HURRICANE went to the front early, entered the stretch with a good lead, but was hard ridden during the drive to withstand POTTERAC. The latter, away fast, raced forwardly placed from the start, closed determinedly under brisk handling, but could not overtake the top one. LIEBESKIND saved ground from the start, held on well during the drive, but was not good enough for the two leaders. FAIR TSRIKE lacked early speed, drifted out .entering the stretch and was unable to seriously threaten when straightened for the drive. CELERITER, on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. STAND OFF disliked the sloppy track and tired. PAJARA was outrun. SIR WALTER R. was unable to handle the sloppy footing. WESTMEATH made a mild bid in the early stretch, then weakened. HONEY JAR was through early. BIG HERALDER and VICTORY MOON were far back throughout. RELICS WAR, away fast, raced nearest DIAMOND MINE until inside the stretch, disposed of the latter and held JANES PRIDE safe. The latter gradually worked way forward, finished willingly in the middle of the track, but could not overtake the winner.- DIAMOND MINE took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong while engaging RELICS WAR, then faltered. TRIP NORTH, rank before entering the stall gate, gave a fair effort. BE-MI-DEAR began fast, but failed to stay. LIMIT GREENIE, bothered immediately after the start, raced poorly in the sloppy track. TWINKLE STAR began sluggishly. AIR MISSION was through early. CEREMONY tired after racing well to the stretch. Overweight Twinkle Star, 2 pounds. WOLVERINE, in the middle of the track from the start, remained on the outside for the stretch run and, closing strongly under punishment, held RICHES safe. The latter, away fast, raced prominently throughout but could not stay with the winner, just missing. BETWEEN US gave a good performance and had no mishap. BROWN MONK had early speed but failed to stay. SOLID ROCK disliked the sloppy track and raced wide the entire trip. DIAMOND LADDIE tired after racing forwardly . placed to the stretch. RUNACROSS raced nearest BIG HEART after the start, was unable to serously threaten the latter but easily bested the others. DARROL BEAU began alertly, dropped back and raced evenly to the stretch but could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. YOUNGr FELLOW could not keep up. NICKIES BOY moved up steadily after the start, took command from PRINCESS TRACE entering the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand BARSHOE. The latter, well placed from the start, was taken out slightly to secure racing room during the drive and, closing fast, was getting to the top one at the finish. RAINTREE, well handled, closed strongly in a sharp effort. BEE LEE TEE began fast but dropped back after the start and raced evenly to the stretch, then finished well under punishment. MOCK BATTLE disliked the sloppy track. PRINCESS TRACE went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch, then gave way when challenged by NICKIES BOY. Overweight Nickies Boy, 2 pounds.
