HBPA Re-Elects Higgins; Pick Committeemen Monday AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., "June 8 Horsemen members of the Rocky Mountain division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association met yesterday in the field house on the Ak-Sar-Ben grounds. Nearly 200 members were in attendance. I Following the session, it was announced I that Allen Higgins was re-elected by ac-, clamation to the post of presidency of the regional division of HBPA. Other business I included nomination of 27 candidates, 10 of whom will be selected by vote at a meeting called for next Monday at 8:00 a.m. in the field house, to serve as committeemen for the remainder of the season for the Rocky Mountain unit of the HBPA. The terms agreed .upon at a meeting Saturday between Higgins and Ivan Thomas, general manager of Centennial, regarding purse distribution at the Denver track, were presented to the horsemen yesterday and, it was reported, they accepted without , contention.
