CBS to Pare Fight Casts NEW YORK, N. Y., June 8. UP. The Columbia Broadcasting System today announced that starting September 15 and continuing through May, 1955, it will televise its weekly series of Wednesday night boxing bouts only three times each month. The sponsors of the fights have agreed to relinquish their spot one Wednesday each month for the TV presentation of some of the best musical comedies and dramatic plays from the legitimate stage for the past three decades. CBS will color televise the shows over its national network, but they also will be seen equally as well on black and white receivers.
