HOLLY BOUGH, badly outrun for a half mile, was taken outside for the stretch run and responded well to wear down the leaders. LIGHT BRICK improved his position steadily, was forced to work his way between horses during -the stretch run and closed willingly. NO CASE lacked the needed response. PRIAMS SPECIAL moved to the fore near the furlong pole and weakened. PANTATA weakened slightly in the drive. MILADY MOWLEE raced evenly. LEGAL LARCENY gave way after setting the pace into the stretch. LOVERS KNOT quit badly. The latter reached contention from the outside along the backstretch, lugged in when placed to pressure entering the stretch, attained a slight lead briefly after being straightened, then was outgamed. KING MOWLEE, under restraint while trailing early, made a bold bid on the final turn and lacked further response. ASSIDUOUS was within striking distance for five furlongs and weakened.
