Trabert and Seixas Breeze Into Tennis Finals Abroad BIRMINGHAM, England, June 8. UP. Taking advantage of weak New Zealand opponents, U. S. champion Tony Trabert of Cincinnati and Wimbledon titleholder Vic Seixas of Philadelphia today breezed into the finals of the mens singles in the Priory Lawn Tennis tournament. Trabert, who recently added the French championship to his list of "laurels, turned back John Robson of New Zealand, 6-2, 8-6, while Seixas downed Mark Othway of New Zealand, 8-6, 6-2, in the semi-finals. The U. S. Davis Cup stars gained the semi-finals Monday by playing and winning three matches each. Despite this heavy schedule, both players showed no signs of weariness today. Trabert merely went through the motions in his first set against Robson, but then was forced to employ his best baseline shots in the second set when the New Zealander tied the score at 5-5. The Seixas-Othway match was closer and more interesting, although Othway appeared to tire badly in the second set, allowing the husky Philadelphian to close out the match quickly.
