1 1 Stewards1 Rulings • CHURCHILL DOWNSC Louisville, Ky., May 3. — The stewards issued the following rulings Friday: "Jockey Billy Phelps is suspended five days, May 4-May 8, inclusive for careless riding in the ninth race. May 1, 1958. "Jockey Doug Dodson is suspended five days. May 4-May 8, inclusive, for careless riding in the ninth .race. May 1, 1958." LINCOLN DOWNS, Lincoln, R. I., May 3. — The stewards here today issued the following ruling: "Jockey Michael Koptyra is fined 5 for failure to fulfill his riding engagement on Friday, May 2." GOLDEN GATE FIELDS, Albany, Calif., May 3. — The board of stewards issued the following rulings: "For rough riding in the sixth race May 1 in which he caused serious interference, apprentice jockey Elcor Ar-agundi who rode Cover Fifty is suspended for the balance of this meeting, terminating May 19, and an additional five racing days May 20 to May 24, inclusive. "For striking apprentice jockey Elcor Aragundi in the jockeys quarters after the sixth race May 1, jockey William j Skuse is fined the sum of 0." |
