Scimitar Suffers Leg Injury LAUREL, Md., May 3.— Wr Ellis Johnsons Scimitar suffered a recurrence of a suspensory ailment yesterday v and this morning was x-rayed to discover whether •the gray six-year-old had fractured a sesamoid bone in his right forefoot. However, stable glands say that Scimitar will be saved and returned to the Blue Stone Farm, Valley Forge, Pa., and stand in stud. Scimitar, winner of the Kent and Robert E. Lee Stakes during his career, has three foals among his first crop this»spring.
