JOSIES BOY was rated after settling into position, was called upon with good timing entering the stretch and outfinished CHICANERY while drifting in under punishment CHICANERY found room on the inside for the drive, challenged strongly and just missed after the rider lost his whip in the final yards. CABRIOLE wrested command when ready and weakened only in the last stages. RIC0DEE could not keep up and then closed fastest of all. AT WILL had difficulty adjusting to the footing. MR. REQUA had to be strongly restrained while lacking room to pass the leaders next to the rail at the far turn, rapidly opened a long lead when clear and held COBBER safe. The latter was unhurried while showing his usual early sluggishness, found room between horses and closed willingly. GALARCH was a prominent factor and closed well in the final stages. AMBERS FOLLY lacked an effective rally NOBLE drake swerved in on YOUR SHINE leaving the gate, could not reach the lead and tired. SALS BOOTS raced in climbing fashion. YOUR SHINE was bothered early. IRATE raced a trifle wide behind the top pair into the stretch and closed well to beat BRANDY B. The latter was alertly ridden and weakened. JOVIAL JOVE lacked speed to be with the leaders away from the gate, raced a trifle wide and fnished well. FABIUS was driven through on the inside rounding the turn and made up ground. SHARPSBURG, snugly reserved racing in the clear off of the pace, was gradually steered to the outside improving position on the final turn and closed willingly under punishment in the stretch to wrest command from the middle of the track in the last yards. TICK TOCK was lightly urged into closer contention after a half mile, came outside the top pair in the stretch and made a stronq challenge entering the last sixteenth, then hung slightly. CLEM was under intermittent pressure forcing IRON LIEGE from the outside, wrested command from that rival in a prolonged stretch duel and held on between rivals. IRON LIEGE was alertly ridden setting the pace and held on resolutely urtder heavy left-hand punishment finishing nearest the rail. PYLADES, unable to keep up early, came again slightly near the end. ARION drifted out while "tiring on the final turn. ONE-EYED KING was off-stride being taken back leaving the gate and never seriously menaced. PINTOR LEA gave a dull effort.
