INA BATTLE was sent to the outside for the drive and, after bumping SWEET TERRI, responded to vigorous urging and disposed of THREEP in the last strides. A foul claim against INA BATTLE by SWEET TERRIS rider was not allowed. THREEP reached the lead between calls near the finish, but could not withstand the winner, just missing. EPISODE settled into the stretch with a short lead, but was not good enough for the top pair. P0USSE-0N closed strongly, but was unable to overtake the leaders. SWEET TERRI lacked early foot and failed to recover after roughed by INA BATTLE. TU AMIGA made a mild bid approaching the stretch and then weakened. PHI FLASH raced with GAY RIG after the start and, after settling into the stretch with a short lead, drew clear under brisk urging. GAY RIG began fast and raced with the winner to the final furlong and then faltered. PACESETTER gave a good performance and had no excuse. CRAFTY SAILOR lacked early speed and raced wide through the stretch. AUNT PEARL saved ground during the drive, but was unable to threaten the leaders. SUNSET BABY had no mishap. TAKE FIVE moved up boldly on the outside entering the stretch and, closing fast under strong handling, disposed of the leaders in the. last sixteenth. RUN ROBBY RUN, away sluggishly, was hard hustled to enter serious contention and, after reaching the lead between calls during the drive, was unable to hold the top one. NORCLY lacked early foot but finished fast. ITS A BEAUTY raced well to the stretch but faltered and attempted to drift out during the drive. TWO FOR TEA went to the front at once and made the pace until inside the last eighth but gave way when challenged by RUN ROBBY RUN. MILJAY was never dangerous. FRIENDLY WITCH saved ground to the stretch but lacked racing room during the drive. SLITHY TOVE.Jorced back after the break, failed to recover. Run Robby Run claimed by S. T. NORTH POLE II. suffered mild interference from PILDORON entering the stretch and then finished strongly, but could not get to the winner. PILDORON, reserved within striking distance of the leader to the last quarter mile, settled into the stretch with a short lead, but gave way when challenged by the winner. MID ERIN saved ground early, but tired during the stretch run. KNOTTY PROBLEM, prominent to the stretch, had nothing left. MOHEGAN dropped out of serious contention soon after the start. OUR MARGOBEE, far back early, could not get to the leaders. TENDER CARE, prominent until inside the stretch, tired. SIESTA had no mishap. SARA JORDAN began sluggishly and raced wide.
