J. J. Starr Visifs at Dowris CHURCHILL. DOWNS, Louisville, Ky„ May 7. — John J. Starr, owner of a small stable and various parking lots in downtown St. Louis, arrived for a few days of sport and witnessed in action his through-breds which are under the care of trained Harvey L. Vanier. Starr is currently on a tour of the eastern TJ. S. having attended a convention in New Orleans and then visited the South Carolina farms where he inspected the broodmares, weanlings and yearlings he has quartered there.
