Stewards Rulings SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 7. — The stewards issued the following ruling: "Permission is granted for the sale and transfer of the horse Palisade II., chestnut colt, 4, by the owner, A. N. Grissim to the Estate of F. O. Akin. "The said horse was claimed out of the sixth racejon May 4, 1959, by the owner, A. N. Grissim, from the North Star Ranch. JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 7.— The stewards issued the following: ruling:: "Jockey Paul Bailey is suspended for* ten days effective Saturday, May 9, to Monday, May 18, inclusive, for interfering: with Three Questions and ■Blank Day in the stretch during: the running: of the first race on Wednesday, May 6. His mount, R o y a 1 Eighteen, was disqualified from first position and placed last." CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 7. — The stewards issued the following ruling today: "Jockey F. A. Smith is suspended five additional days, May 13-May 17 inclusive, for careless riding in ninth race May- 6, 1959." GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 7. — The stewards her today issued the following ruling: "Jockey James DelVecchio is suspended for ten 10 days, May 9th through May 18th, for careless riding aboard Eastern Chant going into the far turn, thereby causing interference in the first race, May 6th." "On report of the official chemists for the New Jersey Racing Commission that urinalysis of the three-year-old colt, Star Ice, winner of the fourth race, May 4, 1959, at Garden State Park, contained a drug of the nature of amphetamine, trainer Thomas Har-raway is suspended and the case referred to the New Jersey State Racing Commission for disposition, in accordance with rule 513. All horses trained by trainer T. P. Harraway are suspended, pending disposition of the case and the purse of the race in question is ordered redistributed, as follows: First money to Milties Mite, owner, J. J. Co-lando; second money to White Label, owner, River Divide Farm; third money to Night Spot, owner, C. M. Kline; fourth money to McDermott, owner Harford Stable. "Grooms Victor Keyes, TRPB number 80056, and Clarence Jackson, TRPB number 9500, caretakers of Star Ice are also suspended, and their cases referred to the commission for disposition, in accordance with the provisions of rule 514. "This ruling in no way affects the pari-mutuel wagering of the race in question." MATJMEE DOWNS, Maumee, Ohio, May 7. — The stewards today issued the following ruling: "The brown gelding Ehrlick, foal of 1955, is barred from further racing at Maumee Downs for refusing to leave the starting gate." TANFORAN, San Bruno, Calif., May 7. — The Tanforan board of stewards today handed down the following ruling: "For careless riding in the stretch drive of the second race, May 5, 1959, while astride Carol Abbey, which resulted in a fall, apprentice jockey Pete Glenn is suspended for 10 racing days, May 8 to May 20." CAHOKIA DOWNS, East St. Louis, 111., May 7. — The stewards here issued the following ruling: "Jockey, Bobby C. Bennett, is suspended ten racing nights for careless riding in the eighth race on May 5. Suspension to start May 8 to 21, 1959, both dates inclusive." "Groom, Eddie Harold Mussick, permanent address, Box 191, Oldsmar, Florida, Illinois license No. 4511, is suspended for violation of rule No. 90, for selling his stable badge. It is recommended to the Illinois Racing Board that his license be revoked." ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 7. — The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Jockey F. Sheaffer is suspended ten days, May 9 to May 18, 1959 inclusive for careless riding in the seventh race on May 5, 1959."
