Hollywood Daily Distribution Highest Hollywood Park offered the largest net purse, per race, of nay track in the United States last year. The Hollywood average, reports the 1959 American Racing Manual now on sale, was ,115 during its 55-day meeting from May 8 through July 22 — Santa Anita Park, at nearby Arcadia, Cal., was the runner-up in this regard with a ,709 average at its spring session and ,969 at its fall meet. Belmont Parks fall meeting offered an average net purse of ,509 at its fall session.
