Fridays inaugural attraction, the 0,000 Premiere Handicap at 6 furlongs, should provide a brilliantly fast three-quarter mile trip with horses such as Fred W. Hoopers Alhambra, Mrs. J. D. Hertz Fleet Nasrullah, Poltex Stable and Bonds Terrang and George C. Newells How Now among the 11 entered. Four 00,000 added races and one 00,-000 guaranteed to the winner event adorn the stakes program and should aid considerably in maintaining the high quality of racing at Inglewood. Such stars as Tomy Lee, fresh from his triumph in the Kentucky Derby; Royal Orbit, Finnegan, Monks Hood and the redoubtable filly Silver Spoon are scheduled to see action. The handicap division has -Hillsdale, Terrang, Bug Brush, Seaneen, Royal Living and Mrs. Tilyou Christophers English-bred Nearco colt, Amerigo. The presence of class in all ranks of racing insures a tremendously appealing season. The complete field for the Premiere Handicap includes: Seaneen J. Longden, 118, How Now W. Harmatz, 122, Whodunit R. York, 106, Alhambrk W. Shoemaker, 123, Fleet Nasrullah M. Valen-zuela, 116, Aliwar H. Moreno, 113, Little Moon D. Pierce, 111, Royal Living R. Barrow, 114, and The Searcher G. Taniguchi, 112. Little Moon and Seand-neen, although both trained by W. B. Fin-negan, will be uncoupled. A glance at the past performances of Fridays field shows that Alhambra and Fleet Nasrullah won their last starts in the identical time of 1:08% for 6 furlongs. Alhambra scored on March 4 at Gulfstream Park while outrunning Alarullah, Day Court and Nans Mink, his 1:08% establishing a new track record. Fleet Nasrullah turned in his clocking at Santa Anita on March 11 while disposing of Coronat, Mystic Eye and Gold Cover. The Nasrullah colt equaled the Santa Anita mark set earlier in the meeting, and subsequently tied by Friar Roach. "Alhambra and Fleet Nasrullah will, of course, be well backed in the Premiere, but the contentious element hardly stops with these two. How Now turned in an eye-opening workout Tuesday morning, traveling 5 furlongs in :57%, which insures the Newell gelding of solid support and sets the stage for one of the most dazzling sprints in recent seasons.
