Alhambra scored on March 4 at Gulfstream Park while outrunning Alarullah, Day Court and Nans Mink, his 1:08% establishing a new track record. Fleet Nasrullah turned in his clocking at Santa Anita on March 11 while disposing of Coronat, Mystic Eye and Gold Cover. The Nasrullah colt equaled the Santa Anita mark set earlier in the meeting, and subsequently tied by Friar Roach. "Alhambra and Fleet Nasrullah will, of course, be well backed in the Premiere, but the contentious element hardly stops with these two. How Now turned in an eye-opening workout Tuesday morning, traveling 5 furlongs in :57%, which insures the Newell gelding of solid support and sets the stage for one of the most dazzling sprints in recent seasons.
