Harry Henson to Man Public Address System at Hollywood HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 7. — Hollywood Parks racing fans will hear a new voice on the public address system on its opening day Friday when Harry Henson takes over in place of Hal Moore, who is convalescing from a serious illness. Henson is a veteran around the race tracks as he started as a jockey back in 1931, riding at Caliente, Tanforan, Vancouver, Victoria and Longacres before he grew out of the jockey weight class. Henson served as track caller for 12 years at Longacres and then moved on to a four-year tour of duty at the Chicago tracks, Arlington and Washington Park. He comes to Hollywood Park with a record of having called approximately 10,000 races.
