Jims Pal Ridden Out For Popular Ascot Win Fourth Successful Favorite in First Five Races to Be Contested By BOB HURLEY Staff Correspondent ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 12.— J. A. Palmers Jims Pal became the fourth winning favorite in five races here today as he was ridden out by jockey Larry Grubb for a two and a half length win over O. C. Maxwells Longstreet. Jims Pal dueled with Thurman Gammons Inundate through the opening quarter mile in the sprint over the Ascot course and after shaking off Gammons racer around the turn increased his margin under Grubbs steady handling. The Roziante— Bless Me Gal gelding was timed in a good :53% over the "off" track and paid .60 for Grubbs 18th winner at the meeting.
