Jockey Tommy Root Injured GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 12. — Jockey Tommy R. Root was rushed to Cooper Memorial Hospital in Camden for examination of his "left leg in which it was believed the fibula bone may have been fractured. The possible injury was inflicted when Nelson W. Lodges We-Ten reared and pinned Root against the side of the gate while preparing to start in the second race. The horse managed to rear over and he was withdrawn by order of the stewards.
