TRU BLU LU moved out fast in the first quarter to take command, set the pace " throughout, was bothered slightly a sixteenth out when the fast-closing RUNNING WOLF bore in, and then near ■ the finish came out slightly herself, but under strong handling, was able to outlast the latter. RUNNING WOLF n raced close to the winner from the beginning, moved up on the outside in the stretch, drifted, causing slight interference to the winner, and was then interferred with near the wire. DUKE OF NOOR gave an eyen per- 2 formance while on the inside. NURSE GINNY closed fast on the inside. FABULIST was never prominent. SIDE n LIGHT tired. The stewards conducted an inquiry into the running of the race and, after viewing the film patrol £ pictures, decided that the first two horses were equally at fault and the numbers were allowed to stand as £ originally posted. f Scratched— 2215Spt Choice Double. The latter had a short lead on the first turn while on the outside and weakened in the final stages when put to pressure. JOE JR. gave an even performance.
