Idun Assigned 124 Colonial Impost Tinkalero Has 122 For Camden Sprint Dandy Blitzen, Mrs. Hellen, Mile. Dianne, Mares Beau Rated for Saturdays Test By BOB McCURLEY Staff Correspondent GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 11. — Mrs. Joseph Bay Pauls Idun, champion two-year-old filly of 1957 and heroine of the Gazelle and Mother Goose Stakes last season, has been named high weight under 124 pounds for Saturdays renewal of the 5,000 added Colonial Handicap. Next in line for the six-furlong test for fillies and mares three-year-olds and upward, is the Triple M Farms Tinkalero. Handicapper M. C. "Ty" Shea has assigned the four-year-old Bolero filly, 122 pounds. Rounding out the top weights are B. A. Darios Dandy Blitzen, 120; Mclver Pric-ketts Mrs. Hellen, 117; and Christiana Stables Endine, Llangollen Farms Gala-rullah and Mrs. M. D. Lewis Happy Princess, all under 116 pounds. Idun, a four-year-old daughter of Royal Charger, has been campaigned lightly this season, making a pair of starts at Hialeah. She won the Columbiana there in her seasonal debut and came back to run a poor race in the longer Black Helen Handicap. Word from New York, where she is currently stabled, indicates she will be here to fulfill her engagement in the Colonial. Starred at Bowie Meeting Tinkalero, who could have been had for a couple of thousand dollars late last summer and fall, came into her own during the Bowie spring meeting where she won three stakes, the Abraham Lincoln, Burch and Barbara Frietchie, and finished third to colts and horses in the Southern Maryland Handicap. She then journeyed to New York, was narrowly beaten by Brookfield Farms Isendu in an overnight handicap and captured the Correction Handicap. In her last start she was fourth to Dandy Blitzen in the John Alden at Suffolk. She was slated to meet Dandy Blitzen and five other Colonial eligibles in the seventh race today. Dandy Blitzen turned in one of the best efforts of her career in winning the John Alden in 1:09%, which equaled the Suffolk track standard. The John Alden- is her only stake success this season, but she has won three other starts. Mrs. Hellen was home first in the Paul Revere at Suffolk for her lone stake score of the season. Endine, who made her seasonal debut against Tinkalero and Dandy Blitzen, today, was responsible for the rich Delaware and Ladies Handicaps. Gala-rullah has won three of six starts this season and spent the winter at Santa Anita. Happy Princess, a hard-hitting seven-year-old Princequillo mare has turned in some excellent efforts in stakes this season, including a second in the Suwannee River and Black Helen and a third in the Columbiana.
