TOP PRICE FOR MORFAIR Speedy Sprinter Brings 2,000 at Auction of Dorwood Stable Horses — Good Prices Realized. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 23.— The disper- * sal sale of the Dorwood Stable was held in the paddock at Belmont Park before the races Saturday under the auspices of the . Fasig-Tipton Company. It attracted considerable interest. Prices for the choice of- . ferings were on the whole better than expected. Bidding on these was brisk and . steady. The star of the sale was Morfair, son of Morvich, which realized 2,000. He was . sold to Dr. T. M. Cassidy, owner of Universe. A contingency went with him. One-half of the gross earnings in purses this season are to be turned over to Benjamin Block. Dr. T. M. Cassidy purchased another offering for a high price when he secured the mare The Beasel. She was another that attracted considerable attention. William Gallagher purchased several horses. The jumper Bangle was bought by the Greentree Stable for ,500.
