CALGARY RACING BEGINS CALGARY, Alta., May 23.— The racing season on the western Canadaian circuit opened at Victoria Park Saturday and the attendance exceeded that of the opening day of last year and there was excellent sport, with big fields. The Presidents Handicap, for western Canadian-foaled horses, went to a three-year-old filly, Ina Mae, by Nepperhan — Captive Princess. Carolina, El Cajon and Alyssum, all arrivals from Tanforan, won races, paying 0.60, .35 and 6.50, respectively. Jockey J. Longden was astride three winners during the afternoon.
