Knebelkamp string going to Washington Park to ten head and is sending four others to Latonia in charge of Harry Lunsford. The stable will reassemble for the Latonia meeting. War Tide and Shackelford recently purchased by Courtney Forsythe and trained by H. Schlessinger, were shipped to Lincoln Fields tonight. The stable of R. C. Thatcher was a late addition to those going on to Latonia from here, trainer W. Sims cancelling stalls set aside for his string at Washington Park today. Albert Sabath, prominent Chicago patron and attorney, who attended much of the Churchill Downs meeting and was represented by I Say in todays renewal of the Kentucky Oaks, left tonight for his home. The big stable Jake Lowenstein is training for Mr. Sabath goes to Washington Park. A. Baker sent A. B. Hancocks Snow King to Claiborne Farm and left Saturday night for Chicago with Light Eagle, Earl Baker, Brush Down, Squall, Peggy Lehmann and two others. Jockey F. J. Baker, who rode in good form here, left for Toronto. Jockey G. Fowler severed connections with the J. W. Par-rish stable and goes to Bainbridge Park. Edward Haughtons Wotan and H. M. Woolfs Lady Broadcast, probable starters in the Robert M. Sweitzer Handicap, which will be renewed at a mile and one-eighth Saturday, went a mile in 1:42%, handily, and Lady Broadcast three-quarters in 1:14%, handily, at Homewood Monday morning. Fred Crofton was at Washington Park Monday distributing nomination blanks for the twenty-one Arlington Park stakes closing on June 1. Entry blanks for the seven stakes to be run during the summer meeting of the Latonia Jockey Club also were in big demand at Washington Park Monday. The 5,000 added Latonia Derby heads the features programmed for the Latonia meeting opening June 25. Dr. N. E. Southard, who personally supervised the transfer of the Shandon Farms Burning Blaze from Churchill Downs to Shandon Farm, reports that the three-year-old stood the short trip in fine fashion. With his arrival at the farm, he was taken over by Dr. D. L. Proctor, of Lexington, Dr. Southards practice keeping him at Washington Park throughout the meeting. Trainer William Hurley reports all of the twenty-three horses he has at Washington Park for Col. E. R. Bradley in fine health and a big majority ready for racing. Nine of the twenty-three arrived at Washington Park from Idle Hour Farm a few days ago. Jockey J. Smith is with this Kentucky stable. Herbert M. Woolfs Dark Sea, which was left here when the other Woolf horses were shipped to Washington Park, is improving from a severe attack of broncho-pneumonia, but it will be two weeks before he can stand shipment to the Homewood course. W. "Chappy" Sims, acting for R. C. Thatcher sold to Edward Haughton the four-year-old Chokoloskee, and he was among those that Haughton shipped to Chicago last week. Sims plans on sending Reverberate and Gaillardia to Bainbridge in charge of Frank Sowell and the other Thatcher horses will be sent to Piatt Steels farm near Lexington. Before leaving for Washington Park Ros-coe Goose purchased from Lon Jones the three-year-old Delven, a winner here.
