INDIANTOWN STAR OF SALE Lew Brown Pays ,100 for Son of Trojan at Belmont Park Paddock Sale. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 23.— A sale of horses in training under the auspices ot the Fasig-Tipton Company, was held in the paddock before the running of Fridays races. The horses were consignments from the Sanford Stud Farms, W. Ziegler, R. A. Smith, R. Spreckels, J. E. Davis and others. Indiantown was the top price of the sale. This colt was consigned by J. E. Davis and was purchased by Lew Brown, a newcomer. Indiantown brought ,100. Thirty-nine head were sold for a total of 6,710, or an average of 85. Bidding was slow and desultory, and none but a few topnotchers attracted attention. Chief Daunt, consigned by R. A, Smith, was second high. He was purchased by B. Creech for ,600.
