GARNER REPLACES MEADE ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., July 7.— Mack Garner replaced Don Meade as jockey on J. R. Allens Gully Jumper in todays eighth race at the request of Meades contract employer. Col. E. R. Bradley. Meade was injured when thrown from Signalman at the post Wednesday, and inasmuch as the three stitches taken above his eye have not entirely healed, Bradley thought it un-vise for Meade to ride in a long race.
