1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES | $ _ Bill Brennan left for Red Bank, N. J., to inspect the Greentree Stable yearlings. George Coburn shipped several horses from West Virginia Friday. George Bull left for Saratoga to inspect the upstate plant Joseph Wagner, under contract to the Greentree Stable, and C. Rosengarten, under call to the Geneseo Stable, two new apprentices, made their debut Saturday afternoon. A meeting of The Jockey Club will be held next Tuesday. Machilla has been restored to good standing. His further entry was refused June 4 at Belmont Park because of inconsistency. Harold Thurber, after a short experience as a trainer, decided to apply for a riders license and will return to the saddle during this meeting.
