JACKIE D. hustled into a contending position early, was blocked when the pacemaker swerved to the inside midway of the stretch, came to the outside after being eased back and closed with a rush to get up in the last few strides. COSETTE displayed nice speed to move into a clear lead, swerved out at the turn into the stretch, blocked the winner midway of the stretch when swerving to the inside, then faltered approaching the finish. CATHY P. easily held sway over the others, but could not threaten the first two. SLUMP was hard ridden all the way. CAPT. YARBROUGH raced evenly. GOLD BAND raced greenly and dropped back iadly after the start. SILVER PALM mot with slight interference at the turn out of the back stretch. SNOBBY SCAMP was hurried along for the entire trip and finished in determined fashion after being straight-jened into the stretch. PARVA STELLA moved into the lead shortly after the start, showed good speed and held on well when the real test came. IN FRONT was rushed hard to gain a forward position, but tired during the closing sixteenth. WANDREL closed fast from a slow beginning. CANPRA could not engage -the leaders. CANTERSINE raced strongly for five-eighths, then tired. PETEE BLUE lacked speed and was never a factor. BROMIDE was done after three-eighths. Scratched 24203 Portever, 95. DEFLATE took command shortly after the start, raced along smoothly to open a clear lead when , jrcaching the stretch, saved ground, but had to be shaken up nearing the finish to withstand AROUSED. The latter followed in nearest pursuit of the winner lrom the beginning, rallied to punishment and was gaining .willingly at the close. PREVENTION raced in the first flight all the way and held on gamely in the closing drive. EXALTATION was strongly ridden all the way, but coud not menace the leaders. SON OF TROY broke well, but lacked speed enough to offer contention. SWEET GUINEA finished stoutly after trailing her Sield. CINAR raced in dull fashion. BORSA was done after a half mile. AT POST 2J minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. ZAY, away nicely and rated in near attendance of PARAGUAY TEA, displaced the pacemaker in the closing eighth and had enough in reserve to withstand GOOD GAMBLE. The latter swung to the outside when put to a drive and was wearing the winner down steadily approaching the finish. PARAGUAY TEA displayed nice speed while setting the pace, saved ground and held on with good energy when forced to a hard drive. PRETTY NIGHT closed stoutly after losing considerable ground. MAXINE F. was gaining steadily after being outrun for the first five-eighths. BIRD FLOWER could not reach the leaders. PATSEY BEGONE began tiring after five-eighths. SPRINGLOCK was never a factor. SPARKY worked her way into contention when reaching the final turn, came to the outside and finished courageously. AMERICAN BELLE was in close attendance of the leaders for three-quarters, but tired thereafter. PEPPERY raced evenly and should improve. TIEMPO raced in spots. THREE DAGGERS lacked early speed, was forced to race wide while moving to his field, closed stoutly, but was no match for the winner. NIGHT RAY, always well up, moved into a short lead on the final turn, but could not keep up. PLAYMORE raced evenly and closed some ground.
