QUINDARO, away well but shuffled back at the far turn, was sent to the outside of the field entering the stretch, responded to strong urging and won easily. LYRA began fastest but was shuffled back soon afterwards, worked her way forward steadily and finished strongly. THAT WINS came over sharply when reaching the lead, was shuffled -back entering the stretch and, lucky to find room in the field, closed with a rush. HEARTY, slow to begin, moved up with a rush during the opening quarter, but tired near the end. CHANCIEST made up ground. COLONELS MISS, used up in forcing the early pace, tired in the last eighth. PARMA VIOLET, never far back, was steered to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. NIGHT BRIGADE tired. ZORANA tired after improving her position and pulled up lame. FAYETTE PRINCE, outrun early, was sent to the inside for the drive, was blocked rearing the final eighth and tired thereafter. JACKKNIFE had no mishaps. DANCING LADY quit.
