1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES I 4 ; Apprentice Leroy Pierson left for his home at San Antonio Saturday night to visit with his parents before proceeding to Churchill Downs, where he reports to the Valdina Farm Stable. Apprentice Ray Hightshoe left Saturday afternoon for his home at Ashland, Neb., on receipt of word that his mother was ill. Hightshoe goes from that point to Narra-gansett Park and will be affiliated with the E. E. Russell stable during the New England season. A division of the H. C. Hatch and Mrs. Richard Fairbanks stable, a division of the Milky Way Farms Stable and a draft of the T. C. Worden stable gets away for Churchill Downs Sunday. The others of the Milky Way string will leave for the scene of the Kentucky Derby after the running of th-3 Juvenile Handicap, while the others of the Worden, Hatch and Fairbanks horses will not depart for .Louisville until the close of the meating. Maj. C. B. Dunphy arrived from Houston. He disposed of hi3 horses at N-aw Orleans, but he expects to acquire several useful performers for an Illinois campaign.
