HANCOCK BACK TO CLAIBORNE LEXINGTON, Ky., April 20. Arthur B. Hancock returned to his Claiborne Farm, at Paris, Ky., this morning, after a four days visit to his Ellerslie Stud in Charlottesville, Va., where Robert A. Fairbairn, member of The Jockey Club, was his weekend guest. Mr. Hancock reports that the yearlings at Ellerslie are better grown and in better condition generally than any crop he has had there in several years. He also confirmed the report that Dr. J. P. Jones, of Charlottesville, was acting for him in the purchase of Pomp and Glory, two-year-old black filly by Man o War Exalted, by High Time, next dam Lady Comfey, dam of American Flag, at the sale at Havre de Grace race course Saturday morning. Pomp and Glory is not to be raced and she may be bred this season to The Scout. Joseph E. Widener and party, including Mr. and Mrs. P. A. B. Widener, are expected at Elmendorf Farm, Tuesday, to remain until after the Derhv.
