FISHER FARM MANAGER DIES Ross Long Passes Away in His Apartment in La Fayette Hotel in Lexington, Ky. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 20 Ross Long, 43, manager of Charles T. Fishers Dixiana Farm, died in his apartment at the La Fayette Hotel early Sunday morning. The body, after services at the residence of Allen C. Mr. Long was subject to high blood pressure and had previously suffered two cerebral hemorrhages. He was a native of Green County, Pennsylvania, and was reared on White Star Farm, Delaware, Ohio, where, under the guidance of his father the late A. C. Fisher, noted Detroit automobile body manufacturer, though interested particularly in show horses, to manage Dixiana. Later, when thoroughbred horses were added, Ross Long became very proficient in bloodlines and was counted one of the most successful of the breeding farm managers in Kentucky. In addition to his brother Allen, who was his chief assistant, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Estella Ross Long, of Delaware, Ohio, and a brother, Eli Long, of Delaware, Ohio. Charles T. Fisher and members of his family are here from Detroit and attended the funeral services this afternoon, as did many friends residing in the Blue Grass region.
